About Me

Welcome to my blog!

I’m Lauren Murphy. I’m 28 years old and I love to read, write and share this affection with other literary lovers. I’m an eclectic reader and enjoy books from a range of genres.

A psychologist by day, I’ve worked in child protection, early intervention and now, in perinatal mental health. I reside in the Wollondilly Shire with my beautiful husband and our cheeky cocker spaniel, Buddy.

You can also find me at An Aussie Girl Travels , my travel blog.

I’m a member of the Short Fiction Writers Guild Member and Romance Writers of Australia.

I’m currently seeking representation for my romantic suspense novel, Critical Response.

I have self-published under the pseudonym, Jayne Fordham:

A Season of Transformation is a YA fantasy novel, published in 2011.

Intuition (Book One of the Elite Series) was released in early 2012. Intuition is a supernatural suspense novel set in Sydney.

Tuning In (An Elite Short Story) is available FREE at Smashwords.

Hire Me as a Freelance Writer: I am also a freelance writer specialising in health, lifestyle and travel. I offer quality writing services on a range of projects including ebooks, articles and course development.

A health writer expert is a step in the right direction to having quality web content to promote your site and services. Don’t settle for article writers who just take information from the web and don’t have in depth knowledge of the topics you need. I can provide your viewers and clients with thoroughly researched written content that is easy to read.

I write on a range of topics including health, psychology, mental health, relationships, wellness, self-development, alternative therapies, lifestyle/ leisure, parenting, women’s issues (pregnancy) and travel- narratives, destination guides.

Services available: articles, blog posts, web content, ebooks, ecourses, research, academic writing and journal articles, ghostwriting. I’m also available for manuscript critiques and assessments to help you develop your fiction manuscript on the areas such as characterisation, plot, structure and conflict.

    Hello Jayne,
I tried using the email address my press sent, but it bounced back. So, I figured I’d try contacting you this way.
Thank you for your interest in *One Woman’s Life* and for inviting me to participate on your blog. I won’t be able to put in a “real time” appearance (I have an 8 month old with an unpredictable schedule!) but I’d be happy to answer questions ahead of time and to provide you with information. I might also be able to check in a few times that day to answer questions that come up. Just let me know what you have in mind!
    All the best to you,

    Irena.

Hi Irena, Thanks for getting in contact. I will be posting a review of your book on the 2nd May. That’s okay about the real time chat, i don’t do this anyway- mainly because I am sleeping while my U.S viewers are awake :-) You are welcome to do a guest post for my blog if you would like and I can post it on the same day- it’s a nice way for readers to get to know you a bit better and it can be on anything that would appeal to readers, writers and authors. If you could respond to comments at some stage during the day that would be great. Anyway, I look forward to reading your book and if you would like a guest post then please let me know.

      Regards, Jayne
